Do I need an internet connection?
Only for the initial model download. After that, recognition and translation work completely offline.
Which languages are supported?
SenseVoice recognizes Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Japanese and Korean. Translation supports Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Russian and more. You can also switch to the high-accuracy Fun-ASR-Nano recognition model.
Are recordings uploaded?
No. Audio, recognition and translation are all processed on your Mac. Recordings are never uploaded.
How much space do the models need?
Recognition models start at about 160 MB. The translation model is about 1.1 GB. You can uninstall models in Settings.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 14 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No ads, no in-app purchases, and no data collected.
